As my Grandma used to say, keep living, one day you'll get your shit together . . . Okay, my Grandma didn't say "shit," but I'll bet she thought it really loudly. She, who refused to use the "Colored" toilet whenever she had to go to the courthouse to take care of business related to the farm.
In any case, here's a belated greeting to you for your 234th birthday from Jimi:
It is sent with the hope that you keep trying to live up to the promise of your potential, despite the crap that the bad guys continue throwing at you.

Its just a Dream and the day never comes in this life.
ReplyDeleteIs it that we do it for some greater purpose we do not yet understand. Yes we must try its the only way to just survive
When they throw the crap and we still survive and often flourish, that really pisses them off.
Once we achieve our goal and the next day what do you do, you have to fight and struggle to stay there. Today i will be a genius yet again.
Its what Jimmy is doing in the video. As humans we adapt to the circumstance we are in. To have a full life you must experience a lot of different things in a different way.
Jimmy is an excellent example of the ever adapting Human.
He is playing the National Anthem as irreverently as he can and doing a classics job. The real challenge is he is left handed and only had a right hand Guitar to play. So he learned to play it up side down and backward.
a thank you and he left the stage
Thanks Marty! There is so much really special and wonderful about the US, and it's really a pity when the good things and the good people get overshadowed by the bad things and the bad people.
ReplyDeleteThe question of why good people keep fighting the good fight is clearly an interesting. I don't like to think that the only reason good people do good work is because they want to get a reward in heaven--particularly since a lot of atheists fight the good fight, too but perhaps that's it. There is no single answer; different people are motivated differently.
So whatever your motivations are, I salute you for your ongoing struggle. Keep your eyes on the prize, whether that be heaven or (perhaps better) a society in which you comfortable living.
And yeah, Jimi rocked. No doubt about that at all.
